The idea for a book about the book club I attend was born when I started recording details after the meetings in an attempt to remember the witty comments, creative menus, and great books. One day I explained our book club to a friend and told her I had a notebook full of notes and was considering writing a book. Her response was immediate, enthusiastic, and positive, and just the nudge I needed to begin outlining and mapping out my book. I hope after reading my book, you'll be inspired to establish your own club based on our swap-meet book-trading style.
Don't just sit there, read!
